Description: This feature class was developed by the Research & Analytics Group of the Atlanta Regional Commission, using data from Georgia Dept. of Labor (DOL) and U.S. Census Bureau’s Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program to show employment data by type and sector. Data from GA DOL includes estimates of employment in each economic sector by census tract in the Atlanta Region for the years 2010 and 2012. Economic sectors correspond with those established by NAICS (North American Industry Classification System). Datasets from LEHD show total number of jobs + workers and job + worker characteristics including sector (using same NAICS classifications), worker age, and earnings, for 2014 and 2015, as well as change data from 2002-2015. All data are given by census tract, for the Atlanta Region.Base Attributes:GEOID10 = 2010 Census tract identifier (combination of FIPS codes for state, county, and tract)County = County identifier (combination of Federal Information Processing Series (FIPS) codes for state and county)Area_Name = 2010 Census tract number and county nameTotal_Population_ACS_2016 = # Total population estimate, 2016 (American Community Survey)Total_Population_ACS_MOE_2016 = # Total population estimate (Margin of Error), 2016 (American Community Survey)Planning_Region = Planning region designation for ARC purposesAcresLand = Land area within the tract (in acres)AcresWater = Water area within the tract (in acres)AcresTotal = Total area within the tract (in acres)SqMi_Land = Land area within the tract (in square miles)SqMi_Water = Water area within the tract (in square miles)SqMi_Total = Total area within the tract (in square miles)TRACTCE10 = Census tract Federal Information Processing Series (FIPS) code. Census tracts are identified by an up to four-digit integer number and may have an optional two-digit suffix; for example 1457.02 or 23. The census tract codes consist of six digits with an implied decimal between the fourth and fifth digit corresponding to the basic census tract number but with leading zeroes and trailing zeroes for census tracts without a suffix. The tract number examples above would have codes of 145702 and 002300, respectively.CountyName = County Name- - - - - -Attributes from GA DOL:AG_FORS_FISH_HUNT_JOBS_2012 = Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting Jobs, 2012MINING_JOBS_2012 = Mining Jobs, 2012UTILITIES_JOBS_2012 = Utilities Sector Jobs, 2012CONSTRUCTION_JOBS_2012 = Construction Jobs, 2012MANUFACT_NON_DUR_JOBS_2012 = Manufacturing – Non-Durable Jobs, 2012MANUFACT_DURABLE_JOBS_2012 = Manufacturing – Durable Jobs, 2012WHOLESALE_TRADE_JOBS_2012 = Wholesale Trade Jobs, 2012RETAIL_TRADE_JOBS_2012 = Retail Trade Jobs, 2012TRANSPORT_WAREHSE_JOBS_2012 = Transportation & Warehousing Jobs, 2012INFORMATION_JOBS_2012 = Information Jobs, 2012FINANCE_JOBS_2012 = Finance Jobs, 2012REAL_ESTATE_JOBS_2012 = Real Estate, Rental, and Leasing Jobs, 2012PROF_SCI_TECH_JOBS_2012 = Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Jobs, 2012MANAGEMENT_JOBS_2012 = Management of Companies Jobs, 2012ADMIN_WASTE_MGMT_JOBS_2012 = Administrative/Waste Management Jobs, 2012EDUCATION_SERVICE_JOBS_2012 = Educational Services Jobs, 2012HEALTH_SOCIAL_JOBS_2012 = Health & Social Assistance Jobs, 2012ARTS_ENT_REC_JOBS_2012 = Arts, Entertainment, & Recreation Jobs, 2012ACCOMMODATE_FOOD_JOBS_2012 = Accommodation and Food Services Jobs, 2012OTH_SERV_NOT_PUB_JOBS_2012 = Other Services (Not Pub.
